About THE ARTIST
Jessica Lentych Loyd is an artist who explores cultural norms within the attention economy, time, space and the function of ceramics as support. Working in sculptural ceramics, Lentych Loyd creates art referencing our shared culture of over-productivity and constant distractions with an emphasis on the need to slow down. The artist comments:
“The impulse to stay busy is designed to include spending every natural resource we embody; our peace of mind, health, humor, joy, and love are depleted in our hum of busy. In a world of busy our worth Is all too often decided by our daily productivity.”
